Samtse Higher Secondary School is excited to kick off a three-day celebration of creativity and diversity in unity, starting today.
The festival was inaugurated by our esteemed PDEO, Mr. Chimi Tshewang, alongside our Principal and staff members.
Day 1 (4th September): Inter-Class Character Portrayal Competition
Students brought literary legends to life, with remarkable portrayals of both fictional and nonfictional characters. The stage was graced by the likes of William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Lord Tennyson, Queen Elizabeth I, Jane Austen, Leo Tolstoy, Emily Dickinson, and many more. Each performance was a testament to the students' creativity and deep connection to literature.

Annual Volleyball Tournament 2024

The final volleyball tournament showcased outstanding performances from all participating teams, reflecting the spirit of sportsmanship and unity. In the girls' match, 11 Commerce faced off against 9 E, with 11 Commerce emerging victorious. Their great teamwork and determination led to a well-deserved win, while 9 E displayed admirable effort and spirit as the runners-up. In the boys' match, 11 Science competed against 12 Science, with 11 Science showcasing impressive skill and perseverance to secure the victory. 12 Science demonstrated hard work and dedication, earning them the runners-up position. Overall, the tournament was a celebration of talent, hard work, and dedication from all players. We are proud of every participant and encourage continued support and celebration of these achievements together. Congratulations to all teams for their remarkable performances!
Drama Competition

The result for the Drama Competition was declared by Dasho Dzongda from his office today.
In a neck-to-neck competition among the four finalists, Samtse HSS won the competition with 99% marks. Followed by Gomtu HSS with 98.7% in the 1st Runner Up, Dorokha HSS 2nd Runners Up with 94%, while Peljorling HSS in 3rd Runners Up position with 93%.
Dasho also expressed his appreciation to all the participants and schools for the great effort in making the drama competition successful.
