Samtse Higher Secondary School

Samtse Higher Secondary School kicked off its Foothills Literary Festival 2026 today, 3rd September, under the theme "Read, Connect, Create: Celebrating Stories, Cultures and Voices." The opening ceremony began with Marchang and the singing of Zhabten, graced by Chief Guest Dasho Drangpon of Samtse, accompanied by the Principal DEO. The programme featured a Dzongkha welcome note, an address by the Chief Guest, and vibrant cultural presentations on Tamang and Lepcha heritage, alongside an inspiring session on "My Journey with Books." Highlights included a colourful Cosplay segment and the launch of an e-book, "Seven Gifts," marking a memorable start to the festival!
