Mr. Tshueltrim Dorji, currently serving as the Principal of Samtse Higher Secondary School, has dedicated 24 years of distinguished service to the education sector. He holds a master's degree in public administration, which has complemented his professional experience and strengthened his capacity for effective educational leadership and administration. He began his teaching career in 2022 at Pemagatshel Middle Secondary School, where he served for five years. In 2008, he was selected as a principal and subsequently served at Chumey Middle Secondary School and Rangjung Secondary School before joining Samtse Higher Secondary School in 2014. Of his 24 years of service, he has devoted 18 years to school leadership as a principal.
During his twelve-year tenure at Samtse HSS, he has brought significant transformation and sustained progress in the overall development and performance of the school across the Cerebral, physical, social, spiritual, and emotional areas of development. Under his leadership, the school has consistently raised its academic standards, producing National Toppers in 2016, 2017,2018,2019, and again in 2025.These achievements stand as evidence to his unwavering commitment to academic excellence and holistic education.
He is widely known as a strict but dedicated disciplinarian who places strong emphasis on the practice of Bhutanese etiquette, cultural values, and social responsibility among both staff and students. The health, safety, and wellbeing of the school community remain among his foremost priorities, and he consistently advocates for a safe, secure, and nurturing school environment. Beyond academics and administration, he has always believed in leading by example. His active participation and support in performing arts, sports, school activities, and various services demonstrate his commitment to the holistic development of the school community. His loyalty, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to his responsibilities have contributed significantly to the continued growth and success of Samtse HSS.
In recognition of his exemplary and dedicated service to education and school leadership, the Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC) has granted him the well-deserved promotion to Specialist Head (ES 3). This promotion is a fitting recognition of his remarkable 24-year journey of service, including 18 years of leadership as a principal.
